Someone please help me find the dash part (dont know what to call it). I need the whole square padded part the holds the sereo and heater controls. I was attempting to change the stereo and realized all the brackets/ screw hole are broken save 1. its for my 1985 trans am. if you have one ill take it or please tell me what to call it and where to get it. Thanks.

 

It's called the radio pod by most people, and I'd have to look up what GM calls it. If you get lucky, you can find a decent one in a junkyard (I found 2!). Other than that, you can post on the Classifieds here as many are parting their cars and you can also search eBay or a resto parts house (YearOne or Classic Industries). Reminds me that I have to drill a hole for the floor mount in my car...

 

try ebay as well. you'll get alot of parts your not looking for - but search "82 92 camaro" and about 50 pages of stuff will come up.

If you're in need of the radio pod, no they aren't the same. The Camaro radio support is part of the center console assembly, which is all one piece instead of 2 like ours, and the console won't bolt to the dash.

 

I thought so, my dad used to have an 89 camaro and i thought the dash was a little different..........thanks. I did find one at a bone yard yesterday, its in better shape than mine but ill need to clean it up and fix one bracket. i would sure rather have one in great condititon. I cant stand it when the bezel is loose!
