Re: post your aftermarket seats!!
the recaro seats are really nice to have, i have the sports in my car and i can pretty much drive anywhere without losing comfort. I got really lucky with mine buying them straight from the factory for two seats it was 700 but they discounted them because they where on back order for almost a year. mine are black suede with titanium black inserts.

Re: post your aftermarket seats!!
Corbeau GTS II.
They are very comfortable but they sit about an inch or two taller than stock seats.
I think they were around $1000 for the pair with brackets 10 years ago. My friend bought them for his 82 Trans Am then sold them to my brother and then sold to me.

this is when they were just installed in 2000 in the 82,

They faded quite a bit over the years and my friend complained about the fading to Corbeau so they sent him a brand new set of seat covers, which I have and will put on when the current covers get really bad.

They're a very comfortable seat, the benchmark seat back in those days.
I was going to buy some of those, I wanted black leather ones w/ the open headrest but they were either expensive, totally shot or not leather. Didn't know about the Corbeaus.

The shoulder belts go up and over the roll bar cross tube and then down to the rear seats factory location for the rear belts. Using factory bolts to connect the belts to the floor. On this setup the belt rests on the rollbar cross tube so in the event of the crash it pivots from that point as if it was bolted to the roll bar. You do not want to have the shoulder belts go down to the floor immediately behind the seat. It can compress your spine in a crash.

Re: post your aftermarket seats!!
Mine are a split 3 point.... the shoulder straps go back and join together into 1 connection. I run the lap seatbelts to the factory locations...bolted to the floor on either side.

Re: post your aftermarket seats!!
I got the scroth rallye 3, popular with the WRX crowd for awhile there. Some BMW's i heard came stock with these in some countries, not sure if in the USA or not.
http://www.schrothracing.com/store/T...allye/rallye-3
Supposively the only DOT approved harness belt...uses buckles like stock and has a DOT sticker on it. NOT NHRA legal as its not a 5 point SFI rated belt. I'm going to upgrade to matching Corbeau SFI 5 points this year.
If you dont have a roll bar you can try to bolt them to the back seats' upper mounting point for the rear belts. Thats one way to do it and still be safe as recommended by Schroth. Click on the link and at the bottom of the page they have the instructions for the belts. They have a picture of suitable mounting points you can use.

I love these Corbeau CR1 seats ....QUESTION, for all you 3rd Gen fans (newbie here) I have already found out these seats fit a '89' IROC, ... BUT! ...
What about the rear seats?
Does anyone know if these fit.
Do people in general do both front & rear or just the fronts?

And those are what seats? Doesn't do us any good to know about them if we don't know what brand they are or where to get them.
