Hey guys I tried searching for this answer but I was unable to find it. I have a 1992 Camaro RS that has a 110 MPH speedo and I want to convert to a 145 MPH speedo. My question is what cars did these come in? I was under the impression that all Z28s had the 145 speedo but after talking with a couple people on craigslist that claim to have a cluster out of a Z28 and it always turns out to be a 110 speedo I'm a little confused. So are these people lying to me, are there clusters not out of Z28s? Or were there Z28s that also had the 110 speedo? Or is there some option package I need to look for? Thanks in advance guys. Also I know that 91-92 have the same cluster but what about 1990 that year is pretty confusing since it has a lot of stuff from 82-89 cars and a lot of stuff from 91-92 cars just curious on the cluster.

 

Those clusters were used on 90-92 cars. All of the 350 TPI cars got the 145 cluster but 305/auto Z28s got 115 MPH clusters.

 

IIRC the 91-92 models used orange needles, as opposed to the yellow needles on the 90 cars.

 

Ok thanks for the answers guys. Not that it really matters but did 305 5speed cars get the 145 mph speedo? Also the color of the needles isn't real important to me but do the 1990 clusters have white or yellow lettering? Thanks again guys.
