Are we screwed for recovering our seats/doorpanels with stock material?
I have the black custom cloth in my car. It looks to be great, no tears or anything, but I just looked at an absolutely minty car with the same interior and it made me depressed at how much nicer/cleaner its seats and door panels were, truly factory new (5k original mile car).
At some point I will want to restore mine, possibly even replacing the seat foams themselves because while still good, I'm sure they are tired and would probably be one of those night and day differences once you had new ones.
But forget about that for now, let's focus on recovering the seats with original, stock seat covers. Are we screwed? I've seen a couple vendors online with repro seat covers, but they come right out and say that they are close but not perfect. This is all I've been able to find so far. It's as if our cars are in the infancy stages of reproduction parts; there are very few, and those that are are pretty different and of low quality when it comes to correctness.
Has anyone here had their seats/doorpanels recovered with new, EXACT matching covers (particularly those later Camaros with custom cloth), and where did you get them?

Pics??
Site doesn't show anything beyond 1975.
Same materials, including Camaro embroidering?

Thanks but the seat covers they sell are very inaccurate--wrong color, no Camaro embroidery (no licensing), and they couldn't even get the grain pattern of the tweed right, the latter of which is just unacceptable IMO.
Basically whoever makes those seat covers put very little effort into them IMO. They could've at the very least got the grain pattern of the tweed-ish part right. There's really no excuse for that part being wrong.
