Where did you guys hide switches????

I am gonna have to find a spot to put a switch, I'm putting nitrous on the car and don't want it to be seen. Any ideas? I was thinking about making a plate for the inside of the center and putting them in that.

Re: Where did you guys hide switches????

I had a rocker switch under the section of the dash where the headlight switch is. You could NOT see it from outside the car, or even when sitting down (unless you saw the faint red glow on my leg when it was on).

Not really that secret, but I used the empty slot where the flashlight went (I have the overhead console).

That footswitch idea is really cool. Make it a little button under the accelerator pedal that way it only is used when you floor it. Which of course is the only time you would use you never see some body pushing the accelerator halfway and using nitrous.

Re: Where did you guys hide switches????

Lol my dad used to do the footswitch under the accelerator setup for his nitrous. He used to terrorize hallsville, tx in a 69 c10 that would lift the front left tire off the ground.

Re: Where did you guys hide switches????

That's true. You could even get factory switches for the blanking panel locations and fool the average joe.

Re: Where did you guys hide switches????

Hidden didn't really play into my setup. I wanted it to function. The big red rocker switch is the Nitrous arming switch. The two toggles were for killing the remote turn on for the amps, and a control for the lighting under the dash. The momentary contact switch on the shifter is wired in series with the WOT switch.

Re: Where did you guys hide switches????

mounted a couple black switches in the trim panel to the left of the steering wheel in my '84 TA. kind of hard to see in this picture, but they almost look stock.

Re: Where did you guys hide switches????

I think it would be cool if your power doors dont work then make those switches for whatever you want. I know pressing the button will be akward but it is an idea. Here is another crazy one on my car the trip reset button resets the miles but the miles dont move anyway ( heard it broken clips ) maybe button behind gauges and make the trip reset button be your nitro or whatever.
