Shifter fitment 4th Gen console

I've been crusing through the threads on the 4th gen console install and was wondering if ayone got the 3rd gen shifter working with the automatic shift plate on the 4th gen console?

From what I can tell most people are using a manual or other auto boot??

I'd really like to use that 4th gen shift plate if anyone knows what needs tweaked

Thanks

i was going to go this route, but i took the easy way out; i got a manual console

you can try to modify where the shifter mounts to the car; i think others have used the 4th gen shifter as well

I looked at a 4th shifter in the yard and they looked almost the same in height, if anything the tunnel is recessed a little bit.

i m 3/4 of the way through this mode, have the shifter moved and remounted and just need to get the shift cable and wirng done.It seems a bit daunting but only took me like hour and half to move the shifter.

So you beat down the floor? Did you go about an inch?

What do you mean get your cable done? It just needed pulled as much as possible according to the other thread?

srry long time no reply. What I ment by done was was to mount it onto the shifter. I beat down the floor a good inch and a half with a mini sledge. Here is a Photo of it in there nevermind the mess, car is always that way.
