Question about 4th gen headrests.

Question about 4th gen headrests.
I am going to have the headrests embroidered. I am having a hard time removing the leather from the headrest its self. The opening at the bottom seems to tight to fit over with out tearing up the foam or leather. Has anyone else had these off? Any suggestions?
