Options for black and gray interior?

Starting to fix up my interior and i just wanted some input on what would look good. I was going to just get a new grey rug and call it a day but after seeing some pics of others, the black rug and black center consoles just look soo nice. I would like to do that but would it look funny with the grey seats and door panels? They are in good shape and i dont want to spend the money for new seats. I saw a interior on this site with everything black and just grey seats and i thought it didnt look right. i also thought of just getting a black rug but idk if that would be too much contrast. Any suggestions and especially pics would be great.

As you can see the carpet is terribly faded and needs to go

Re: Options for black and gray interior?

Personally i like a black and tan style as it suits the contrast of the 2 colours better. If I had to work with grey and black Id go with grey plastic panels, black carpet and center console and to even out the doors use the grey ones but dye the carpet part on your door panels black so its splits up the doors and bleands everything together. Seats I would do the same as well. It would look good as if i kept my grey interior I was goig to do that. I dont have any pics unfortunately but if you saw it, it looks good.

Re: Options for black and gray interior?

Thanks for the input guys im looking forward to keeping the seats and getting the black carpet. 6six6, i was thinking that too making the bottom carpet of the door panel black..the pattern on the top half matches the seats so i agree that would blend the black carpet, panels and seats nicely. Thats what im gonna do, ill ill post some after pics when its finished

You can get those at Advanced Auto Parts. Just a cheap cup holder, by the looks of it he just screwed it into the side of the console.

Re: Options for black and gray interior?

I think if I ever replace the carpet in my 91 I'm going to do the same thing- black carpet with gray seats and plastics and then dye the carpet on the doors black. It looks amazing!
