Need to either replace locks or have key made?

When I bought my car, it didn't come with a key for the doors or the trunk. So the trunk won't open, and I can't lock my car.

Should I have a new key made? Or should I buy new locks off Ebay? How would I replace the trunk lock, I can't open it. Would a lock smith have to pick it?

Thanks

Call a locksmith in your area, it might cost as much or more as new locks, but its a lot easier.

Bad thing about a new key is that the locks are probably original and half worn out already. If it was me I would buy all new locks because its cheaper where I live and so that their new and not worn out, but thats just me.

also the locks in these 82-92 cars are a bear to change anyway, I did mine last week and it was not fun at all, if you can get away with making new keys, do it

The door locks are real easy to remove !

Its best to just remove one door lock and take it to a locksmith and have a key made.

I had the locksmith come to me to make new door keys. Total cost $30 bucks.
I have t-tops so changing out all the locks was gonna be $pendy and a PIA!

I had a key made at my GMC dealer today for $6.42 =]

they said they were surprised they still had the key codes for an 88'.

I was VERY surprised. The locks still work great, but now that I have the trunk open I have to replace the struts because they're shot.
