Better Way to Attach New Speaker Grills to Dash???
I got new GM speaker grills today and am wondering how to better attach them to the dash pad without using the factory metal nuts and a wrench. To me, this GM concept was pretty idiotic since the tabs of the grills always seem to break off either ratcheting them on or removing them with metal nuts. If I just set them where they belong on the dash without any nuts, will they rattle? (I would also prefer not to use any glue or epoxy.)

all i can think of is snap off the plastic tabs and drill a hole where they used to be place a bolt through paint the head black to blend in and then use a nut underneath to bolt it to the dash

Mine still have the 4 tabs on the bottoms of each grill. What I'm trying to avoid is damaging them during the install.
