That's where all the Gremlins hide during the day. At night, they come out and terrorize the car, adding to our constant troubles.

Re: whats behind here?
I would say either the heater-A/C box assembly or Jimmy Hoffa.
Re: whats behind here?
Directly behind should be some metal bracing that goes all the way across the dash to make it sturdy, computer, wires, heating/air duct work, part of the fan and HVAC system sits back there. Even further back and lower, the heater core. When the heater core goes bad, coolant can leak from it and form a puddle where the passenger side floormat would go. Its the heater/air ducts that take up the most space.

Don't bother !
Not much room back there to do/store anything useful.
As posted above a metal brace and wiring is there..............

I had that same thought a little while ago interesting thought it would be pretty cool but youd probably have to move some stuff around depending on how big you want it but it would be pretty cool

Use you back seat for glove! I hate to see the cars chopped up. Just my opinion!
But hey you only live once, do it like you want it!

Re: whats behind here?
I dropped the panel underneath that to put all the wires for my HU to reduce clutter right behind the radio. Mostly heating/AC components under there. Theres a good 2-3 inches of clearance for aftermarket wiring thats about it
