Re: Automatic Shifter Plastic Movement Rod?

Are you talking about the cream colored rod that goes down the shifter shaft to actuate the mechanism? I've got some spares. PM or email me your email address if you want pics or other info, Henry
What year? Early ball shifters have a flat rod while later ones have the round one with round bumps on it

yep thats what I'm talking about, mine is an 82, the broken one was flat but still had the round bumps throughout it

another question how does the shift **** actually attach to the metal shifting stick? i know it can attach to the movement rod but whats to keep me from just pulling it all out or turning the **** in circles

Sorry, I don't have any more flat ones. The **** is held on by a circlip and there should be a tab in the **** that keeps it from turning around, but they get broken off.
