Re: Trans Am center console

have pics?, best thing I can think of is metal braces and a couple nuts and bolts to hold it together if it's splitting in half (temporarily of course) until a possible replacement...

Re: Trans Am center console

some people have had good luck using an epoxy or gorilla glue and clamping the pad down to get it looking good again. i used it as an excuse to grab a 4th gen console, a cup holder was too appealing!

TA consoles don't split in half, it's the foam padded outer plastic/vinyl that starts pulling loose from the frame.

Banks, get yourself a small piece of wood, some clamps, a razor knife, and gorilla glue. Remove the shifter plate. You'll need to trim out a little bit of the foam since the glue expands as it dries. Dampen the foam with a spray bottle, then apply the glue (don't use too much or it'll show from the top after it expands). Use the wood and clamps to secure it back together until it dries. You may even wish to use a folded rag or something under the wood to prevent any dimples.

Re: Trans Am center console

I used some large adjustable wood clamps, 2x4's and Emblem Adhesive to fix my Original Console, when I still had it.
