Re: Steering Wheel loose

Stop driving it immediately. Go get it fixed. Mine cost me $100 & took about 5 hours. If was is loose finally comes free, your steering wheel will be disconnected from the steering box & will spin 360 degrees. You will lose total control & that will suck at 65mph on the highway! Or even just 10mph in an intersection turn.

Re: Steering Wheel loose

There is 3 main bolts in there, alot of stuff has to be removed before getting to the bolts. Over time sometimes they loosen up. My machanic did mine in about a hr. I watched him do it, was kind of a pain. Get someone that knows what they are doing.

Re: Steering Wheel loose

thanks for the information. I will pull it apart myself. Shouldn't be a problem as I did the VATs cylinder about 10 years ago.
