4th gen mods to 3rd gen?

A 4th gen has a couple neat things I would like to see in my car.

1) Instead of a bag for the t-tops, there is a plastic box that outlines the bottom of the hatch area that accepts the t-tops so they can just be inserted into the trunk vertically.

2) The t-tops came with insertable sun shades? I don't know about you guys, but my glass t-tops with alot of sun out is a killer. I feel like I'm outside with those rays beating on me.

Anyone seen anything like this, or know where to buy? Thanks

Yeah what 1ADan said pretty much.

T-top shades can be had for our cars pretty easy. I got a pair new in the box when I bought my car. THey still need to be recovered. So dont get scared away if you find a set. As long as the board is in good shape.

As for stashing the tops in the back. I dont think you are going to get them in vertically. They wont fit in like the 4th gens because the bottom part of the hatch isnt wide enough. At least I dont think it is...I tried to fit the 4th gen piece in the back. You'd have to do some metal work to handle that. Not worth it IMO.

And I dont think you can stand them up on their ends, because the hatch would hit them. I have see guys incorporate slots into their subwoofer boxes. But they have to be angled. And in most cases just sit in place vs locking in place.

Not trying to be sarcastic or anything...but take your tops out and hold them in the back...see if they fit. Anything you do will end up being custom back there for them, but if you can fabricate, and have a good imagination, anything is possible. But nothing from the 4th gen will swap over to do either of the things you want.

Youre in luck with the shades though!
