question for the 91-92 firebird/trans am guys

Engine: Turbo 383 with Holley Sniper
Transmission: factory 5 speed now Powerglide
Axle/Gears: Strange 12 bolt w/373 locker
question for the 91-92 firebird/trans am guys
On my dash above the ac controls where my fog light,rear de-frost, and hatch release switches are. There is a hole on the bottom side that appears to be factory. Does anyone know what its for??? Thanks

There's suppose to be a small light in there to subtly illuminate the a/c controls and radio when the lights are on.

Thanks. That's what I was thinkin. But every 91-92 I've seen has no light or even a wire going to it. I just can't figure it out.

I think it may be because the rear view mirror changed an started coming with a lil light that shines down on the radio and ac controls when you turn the lights on.
