Replacing rear hatch plastic motor mount

Replacing rear hatch plastic motor mount

I just got a new plastic motor mount for the rear hatch of my 91 camaro and I was wondering if there was a how to I can check out so I have an idea of what Im getting in to. Thanks!

Have a look at Lon's site at Top Down Solutions. He sells all the parts for that assembly, as well as a reinforced version. I believe he has instructions posted on the site that will help you. Great guy to deal with, by the way.

I checked out that website and I didnt see a How-to section. any other ideas haha thanks again!

Keep looking, the instruction are there to download. And if you can find them, you are not qualified to repair the hatch pull down assembly.

Its for changng the complete unit. Im trying to find how to replace just the plastic motor mount.

This should help- it was only the first instruction page! Seriously, use common sense and make sure everything goes back together aligned correctly and you use enough grease...
