Need help wiring 02 seats into 91 Firebird
Hello everyone,
First I would like to say how good it is to be back. I got derailed for over a year from my restoration due to personal matters popping up, but now its all back on track, and I can finally start putting the car back together.
I have a pair of leather seats with powered adjust and lumbar support from a 2002 TA that I am in process of installing in my 91 Firebird. I have the wiring harness that connects the seats together along with the air lines, but I don't have the wire that connects to the fuse box.
In another thread I read that you could run the hot wire from the seats into the back side of the fuse panel in the WDO circuit breaker, but I wanted to make super sure that was were I needed to install it before I burn something up.
I have a picture here of the back of my fuse panel and the blue arrow is pointing to the spot I assume is were the hot wire for the seats should be added. I want the installation to be a close to factory as I can get, so does this seem like the proper spot to connect the wire? I don't know shyte about wiring and fuse boxes so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Need help wiring 02 seats into 91 Firebird
I just looked in the service manual for my 90 Formula.
No info/diagrams on power seats -- only lumbar support.
However...
The the WDO (35 amp circuit breaker) routes power to
power windows.
The Pwr Acc (35 amp cir-br) routes power to the defogger,
power door lock, and lumbar suppoort.
I can't tell if your pic is conveying that you don't have
pwr-wdw, but
either of these would be a good place
to get power. Just be sure to use large enough wire to
handle the seat motor current. Hope that helps.
Good luck.

Just make sure its a hot at all times circuit.Power windows only work with the key on.Lumbar should work w/out the key.Crimp it to the blue (arrow) one & use a fuse.
