I know this is a silly question buttt... the carpet should just come out if I take all the interior out right? like and I wont need to buy a new one? cuz my cousin seems to think that....

Re: Carpet

The carpet will not be destroyed on removal unless you do something stupid.

You and your cousin should stop messing around or someone will find out.

it's going to take effort to yank it out as there is a tar like substance holding it down (please do the math and re-review how old these cars are)

So, some backing will be left behind and it won't look the same when you try and re-install

it's up to you

Re: Carpet

A little bit of the backing will stick to the sealer pads used to cover the plugs in the floorpan.

The carpet will reinstall fine.

Re: Carpet

yeah dont just start ripping it out, carefully pull little by little and sometimes youll have to tear off that foam backing stuff that is stuck to the tar as previously stated. if your carpet is in good shape i see n reason why youd have to buy a new one
