Ideas on material to use to "fill in" headliner?
I received my replacement headliner this weekend (the first one had an extremely poor fit) and installed it yesterday. The fit on this one is much better...but still not perfect. I believe that this is the best I can expect with an aftermarket piece (probably).
The fit around the t-tops is still pretty poor, there are gaps between the headliner in the four inside corners as well as along the back, near the seat belt. It's not sagging or anything like that, it's just like the fit is off. Anyway, instead of continuing to send these pieces back and hope the next one fits better, I'm wondering if there is any kind of material I can use to fill in the gap between the headliner and roof around the t-top? For example, I was thinking about buying a cheap roll of the auto weatherstripping you can get at Home Depot or Auto Zone and seeing how that fits. I studied it closely when I was done and I don't see any way of using Velcro or anything like that to try and hold it, I think my best bet might be to try to hide the gap as best as I can. Thoughts?
I've attached a couple of pictures of the old headliner, the new one isn't this bad but it has similar gaps.

The dome light should push that up.
