seat belts

I did a search and found tons of info that didn't answer my question. I have an 82 with rear lap belts. I have access to a 90 rs parts car for interior. How much of a pita is it to change the rear seatbelts to the later shoulder harness safely? I have a 3 and 4 year old that want to ride in "Daddie's Car" but can't use a booster.

Re: seat belts

The later cars of a metal braket welded into the rear quarter panel areas where the seat belts bolt to. You could try to cut them off and weld them on, but you would also need the interior plastic panels that allow for the seatbelts.

Re: seat belts

I can get all the interior. Guess I may just tear the parts car apart and do it. Thanks
