V6 dash swap fuel level gauge question
I have an 89 camaro that I swapped a 4.8 in and just finished the 99 v6 camaro dash install. I've read on here that the v6 (98+) cars had the same ohm resistance as the third gens. Does this mean my dash fuel level gauge is compatible with my fuel level sending unit? Or will the LS PCM not even recognize it?
If the signals of the dash and sending unit are the same but the PCM doesn't recognize the resistance, is there any way I can wire the gauge directly to the sending unit wires, apposed to through the data line?
Thanks in advance

Re: V6 dash swap fuel level gauge question
stock 3rd gen gauge is 0-90 ohm. 90 ohms being full, 0 ohms being empty.
pulled this from ls1tech.com:
Sending units & level sensors varied greatly in design through the years, but there were only 2 different level sensor ranges in all Camaro's made.
Up through '97 was 0-90 ohm & '98 up was 40-250 ohm.
