Air Bag wire

I have the steering column out of my 1991 camaro that I was going to try and sell but when I pulled the steering wheel I found that the previous owner had cut the plug off that goes to the air bag. Just curious if there is a way to either repair or replace the wire. The column is in good shape other than the wire I just installed a 4th gen column in the car . Thanks

Re: Air Bag wire

i would just relace the entire airbag ring and the wire running through the column than try to repair it. the last thing you want is a short in that circuit......or sell it to someone whos running a non airbag wheel.

Thanks, I will try that. I wasn't sure if you could replace just the wire.

Re: Air Bag wire

There is also a procedure for setting airbag clock spring...
(since it has only so much coiled wire in it)
