Gauge Cluster

I looked around at all the websites that I know that sell 3rd gen parts & cannot find a place that sells reman gauge clusters? I did not find any place that sells new ones either (except the custom kits from Hawk's, but those are $900 + dollars...).

So, does anyone know a place that does one of the following:

1. Sell remanufactured gauge clusters?
2. Rebuild mine for a charge?
3. Sell a new one outright?

Or is this pretty much a fix my own or junkyard type deal......?

Re: Gauge Cluster

That's actually a good q. I've looked around many e-tailers and car mags and have found no factory oem gauages available. Yea, what do you do if you have to replace a combo tach/oil pressure gauge on a mid '80s Z? Any one?

My tach is pegged all the way to red line & does not move. The speedo only works after I've had the car running for 10 + minutes....weird!

In two weeks I'm going to pull the entire cluster & take a crack at it....I can't make it any worst.....maybe....

I've got a buddy that says he can fix the tach, he is an electrical engineer & has a 3rd gen, he told me his car had the same issue & he knows a solution. I'm going to try a new speedo cable & see if that fixes the speedo......wish me luck!

Re: Gauge Cluster

I just found this place doing a google search:

http://www.ddinstruments.com/index.p...d=12&Itemid=61

I'm going to give them a call tomorrow. They list the 90 thru 96 camaro at $239 for the cluster. I'm going to check what all is included.

Found this one also:

Re: Gauge Cluster

By the way, you don't have a speedo cable. I've sold several clusters for your car on here for less than $100 tested first in my car before doing a deal, but I don't have one right now. Might be able to find one in the next few weeks if you don't have any luck with your search and you would go for a used one that works. LMK, Henry
