Extended seat tracks?
Simply, is it possible to extend the seat tracks on the front seats? or does anyone make some that I can just swap out with mine? I'm 6'5" and it's kinda hard to get in and out. No to mention when I drive 2+ hours with my knees having to be bent the whole time kinda hurts.

Re: Extended seat tracks?
I assume you have manual seat tracks.
I found that power seat tracks allow the seat to go back further and allow for more adjustment, which will give you some room.

X2 on the power seat. I'm a little over 6 foot, mostly legs. But some plates between the seat and tracks shouldn't be too hard to figure out. I've got a set of tracks, seats too, if you want to try to modify them or something.

Re: Extended seat tracks?
I put some seats from a fourth gen in my car and they slide back about 3-4 or so inches more. So if you could fab some extensions for it you may get comfy.

Re: Extended seat tracks?
I don't have pics but I made plates to move the seat back in my 86 about 3". Just 1/8 steel cut to shape. It really helped since I'm 6'6" and all leg. The 4th gen seats sit a bit lower and might sit back a bit more but I can't say for sure. Oddly enough, I didn't have to move the seats in my 92 and I fit fine in that car.

Yea, I forgot to mention that I do have manual seats. I kinda prefer manual over power mainly because I don't move my seats any plus its just one more electrical thing I don't want to worry about going wrong.

White gold, how much would you want for those seat tracks? I don't have much money so I won't worry with the seats.

I'm 6'5, know a guy who is 6'7 & manual 4th gen seats feel great. Never felt the need to get the seat (manual) any further back.

So are you saying with the 4th gen seat tracks in a 3rd gen or in a 4th gen

Re: Extended seat tracks?
Complete complete 4th gen seats with the 4th gen tracks in a 3rd gen. And I'm "all legs". Sitting down, I'm as "tall" everyone sitting beside me.

Re: Extended seat tracks?
Well I ended up finding about 20' of some metal that's about 1-1/2" wide and 1/16" thick. so I cut 5 in. legnths of it off. drilled a hole in each of the seat tracks on the front half 3" back and bolted the metal strip on the back to compensate for the 3" in back. and so far they fit on the seats. waiting for some sunlight tomorrow to try it in the car.
