Re: Pedal/Clutch Assembly Help!

from under the dash

- take off the clip for the brake pedal
- undo the brake booster bolts and the 1 bolt at the top of the peddles so 5 in total
- take out the auto brake pedal
- swap in manual peddles and go back in reverse

Re: Pedal/Clutch Assembly Help!

I thought you already had that in

Booster has to come out then and you have to put 2 bolts in the upper booster holes to hold the pedals. You will see it in the pic at the bottom

The pedal assembly you have should have to bars that come down and bolt to the firewall. Well those two arms are bolted to the firewall with the "U" bolt that holds the master to the firewall in the enginebay. I put both arms against the firewall once the pedals where in and use the u bolt to hold them the right distance apart. marked the 2 holes on the firewall and drilled them.

Next would be to cut the hole in the firewall for the master to connect to the clutch pedal. The hole for the master will not be round but more egg shapped.

Heres a pic of what it will look like when its done. I had to make a shim for mine just to make it a little straighter and also I messed the hole abit so I needed to cover it to prevent water coming in

Re: Pedal/Clutch Assembly Help!

I also have done this swap, you should also weld another piece of sheet metal @3" by 3" over the spot and re make holes again. The stock cars double up the thickness for extra support. This way firewall doesn't flex when pushing on clutch pedal.
