Recaro seat rails

I recently picked up a pair of Recaro LS's from a '91 VW GTi. I'm having a hard time trying to find the correct seat rails to fit my car. Were they supplied from GM or from Recaro? Where can I find a set? I'd prefer to buy the correct sliders rather than trying to adapt my factory rails to the seats, but if comes down to that being my only option then I'd like to see what people have done to get Recaro's to fit.

Re: Recaro seat rails

I would think you would have to use your factory rails to match the factory bolt holes on the floor.

Re: Recaro seat rails

I have Recaros in on of my cars and they use a recaro bracket that bolts to the factory sliders.
They kind of make the seats sit a bit higher...

Yeah, but the factory rails don't bolt up directly to the Recaro's. See all Recaro's have the same mounting holes in their bases, no matter what vehicle they were installed in. Only the rails differed for the application.

Yeah I know Ron, he does top notch work but $320 for just the rails is a bit steep in my book.

Do you by any chance have any pictures of the adapter brackets?
