Best interior seats? 3gen 4gen?
I need your opinion guys. As far as the leather seats for the third and fourth gen go which do you think is most comfortable? I want to swap my interior out and I'm looking for the most comfortable seats to put in. I'm not big on the sporty or race car looking seats. Basically give me your input on which you think is more comfortable and if you'd like you can tell me another kind of seats you like that you feel are comfortable. Thanks

As far as comfort and adjustability, you can't beat the first generation Ultima seats that were standard on all 1987-92 GTA's (standard cloth, leather optional). They still had them from 1993-02, but they were always an option from then on, and became less and less manually adjustable/comfortable as the years progressed.
However, if you're a larger-framed individual, you might find the bolsters confining. In that case, you're gonna be limited as far as factory leather seats...apparently leather was available on Camaro's too, but I've only seen literally a handful, and never one in person.
Either way, if you're looking for leather, plan on recovering whatever you end up buying if you want them to look nice -- good used 3rd gen leather is nearly impossible to find.

I've owned an 1989 and a 1984 Camaro, and also a 2002. The 2002's seats were far superior, hands down. Now there is nothing wrong with a 3rd generation seat, but the support the 4th gens have a much better. They also have a slightly deeper bucket which is perfect for the average sized person.
Also, unless you have extremely low miles on your 3rd gen, the foam is usually broken down and degraded. My '84 only has 75000 miles, but at almost 30 years old, the foam is so bad you can feel the frame.
Needless to say I found some 4th gen seats with less than 10000 miles on the original car waiting to be put in when I get the upholstery done (wrong color).
