82 Camaro Steering HELP!!!
So I have an 82 Z28 and im having a problem with my steering column. The small shaft that goes from the steering wheel to the tilt mech is loose and i cant figure out how to fix it. I have a service manual for the car and it does not help at all. I know that there are 3 screws that can come loose and cause it to wabble but its not them its only the shaft not the whole housing. the shaft pulls out and it but it does not come out just moves foreward and back. since this started to happen my ignition cylinder wount unlock the key easily ( I have to use both hands to get it out and it wont go into accessary. I dont know if its related or not. If any one knows how to fix this it would be great since beacuse of this i cant get my car on the road and drive it yet

Re: 82 Camaro Steering HELP!!!
.The only thing that I know of that causes pressure involving the shaft is # 5 and # 8 in this diagram.I found this diagram and it states that it is a GM tilt unit.
