84 door panels

The panels on my 84 Z28 are connected the top black plastic piece on the door trim. How do you remove the plastic part on the top. The whole door panel is loose but can't get the top part off. I have searched the past posts on interiors with out much success. Frustrated need help.

Re: 84 door panels

Lift up on one side slowly as to not break the clips on the plastic piece. Make sure the window is open and wiggle it back and forth and lift straight up

Re: 84 door panels

As per the shop manual lift upward and outboard to free up the trim piece.
