Did GM make a Black Gauge Bezel for the Firebird?!?!?

I found a Black Gauge Bezel. I have a Gray Gauge Bezel on my Formula and needed a black one to finish blacking out the interior of my car. After hunting around junkyards, ebay and craigslist I found one (wasn't too difficult to find). I got it off a '90 T/A.

It has 1 long delete button in black. BUT is missing 1 long delete button, a short delete button and the lower dash trim piece on the left side of the steering wheel.

I'm trying to find these black delete buttons and the missing piece of trim but had 3 different Firebird specialists tell me GM NEVER made a Black Gauge Bezel!!! And NEVER made black delete buttons?!?!? I have both those items in my hand right now!!!! Is it considered Super-Duper Dark Gray?! This thing looks black to me! And it REALLY looks black when held up to the Gray Dash Bezel. Its driving me a little nuts.

Is this some sort of aftermarket part from the 80's? And does anyone know where I could find BLACK DELETE BUTTONS and the missing trim?

This may help someone else or help me find more black delete covers.

Firebird Gauge Bezel BLACK 10030313 ABS REV 4-5-18061

Firebird Gauge Bezel GRAY 10125193 ABS REV 4-5-18069

The gray one has the numbers X'd out, by what looks like a machine at the factory.

Firebird Delete BLACK 4-5-18095 ABS 10037704 REV 8 (it has a giant 2 in the middle)

Firebird Delete GRAY 4-5-18095 ABS 10037704 REV 8 (it has a giant 3 in the middle)

It was spraybombed... Look around the screw holes in the lower left corner where the fog light panel sits. It's clearly gray there in the pics due to the screws taking the paint off.

Reason the part numbers are different are because yours doesn't have the provision for the upgraded Bose gain slider switch, which would be in the left hole with the defrost for the hatch next to it and the hatch release in the little hole (if equipped).

:edit: Only actually black gauge covers are on the 82-84 cars, and look completely different.

Hahaha! No not rattle canned. That's actually rust from the screws. I don't know why it turned up gray in the pics, its rust colored, I'm looking at it now.
