Repairing door panel brackets

I need to put the door panel brackets (the ones on the back of the door panels, not the ones riveted to the doors) back onto my GTA-style door panels as they've pulled off over time. I've tried this before with hot glue and they came right back off again . Has anyone else had this problem and what glue did you use to put the brackets back on the doors? I'm thinking of using Gorilla Glue this time around, but if someone else has confirmed something else as actually working, I'll try that instead. Right now, I have pretty much NOTHING holding the door panels around the edges except for a couple of the brackets at the bottom of each panel .
