I have been looking at my dash harness, and am starting to think to do it the way I want, it might be smarter to swap the interior harness.

Decent thirdgens are hard to find here in bonyards, and since I have it apart anyway, I'm considering doing a swap I haven't seen done on here yet. Only thing is, I want to do the harness swap WITHOUT the dash swap. Doing it with is rather easy.

Anyone use a 4thgen harness in a thirdgen car? I'll be swapping engines over to an LT1 anyway, and I prefer keeping the same level of controls and indicators as the original, though wired into the thirdgen bird dash. At least this way, the engine and chassis harnesses play nice together; no cutting and reconfiguring to make it work, other than extending and changing a few wires, and repinning the LT1 harness for an 0411. I'll be kinda nice to have a factory fob and RAP and other features in a thirdgen.

Im getting ready to tear out my thirdgen harness and use the fourth gen but im also doing the dash swap and ls1 from my donar car so it will prolly be alot easier for me since there really shouldnt be any splicing
