Headliner Replacement Help

I recently replaced my headliner with an ABS one, and I glued it to the roof. It holds well, except for the very front, right above the windshield. That part hangs down an inch or so, and I was wondering, is there a special type of glue or backing that will hold better? All help is appreciated.

Re: Headliner Replacement Help

telling us which glue you used to begin with would be helpful.

Re: Headliner Replacement Help

did it come out in a paint type "mist" or squirt out crazy like that silly string from our kid days? That's how to tell whether the spray adhesive is made more for paper and stuff or for upholstery.

It was more like a silly string, the heavy duty stuff.

Re: Headliner Replacement Help

You could add a OH console, that would help 100%.Just out of curiosity, why did you glue it?

Re: Headliner Replacement Help

Because it was not a tight enough fit and I didn't want it moving around while driving

Re: Headliner Replacement Help

I would look into a Overhead Console. You could use Velcro strips also, that would be better than glue, this way you could remove it if needed.
