I would say about $1700-$2100.That's new upholstery,carpet,headliner, sun visors,used dash pad,seat belts.door panel material,sail panel material,interior paint.It's a lot of work,car should be down for a good two months.Did mine over a couple winters.

Re: How Much you paid to re-do your interior????$$

If you are persistent and don't mind obtaining the parts yourself through a salvage yard or Craigslist ads, you can save a ton of money. Here's a breakdown of what I did:

* (4) Leather Seats (from 97 Formula) $60.00 - salvage yard
* All primer, metal paint, plastic paint and dye: about $200 - specialty shops
* Used t-top headliner with brand new fabric: $25 - Craigslist
* New carpet (front and hatch): $125 - TGO classified
* Fat Mat sound insulation (enough to do entire car): $120 shipped - Ebay
* Missing pieces replacement: maybe $50 total - salvage yards, Craigslist, Ebay
* Power Window motor/Door Lock Actuator: around $80 - 1AAuto

Now, compared to Mantaguy, you may think I saved a bundle. However, all the work was done myself and while rewarding and educational, it kept the car out of commission.

In addition to the interior work, I've also been chipping away under the hood with the engine bay wiring mess from previous owners as well as trying to bring my dual fan system back to stock as well as additionally getting my charging issue fixed.

In July, I'll have had the car four years and I've put on just shy of 1,000 miles. If I had to do it over again, I would have hired out for some of it. It's already nearing the end of June and I've still yet to get the car out of my garage.

Well...here is what i have in mind...

-if i cant find a good set of seats then ill pay to re-do the ones i have...
-door panels i'll get em from a member here.
So what i would have to pay for sure is
Carpet, t-top shades, headliner, seat belts

Re: How Much you paid to re-do your interior????$$

Just based on the estimates I have for doing my seats I will have over 1500 in it. That includes new carpet, recaro seats recovered, headliner and sail panels and door panels and visors. I will do all I can myself. I have one more estimate to get yet.
My dash pad is perfect still.

That's not a bad price if their as good as you say, because your going to pay that much for new upholstery alone and that's not installed.

Re: How Much you paid to re-do your interior????$$

Probably around $1700 in mine, but the headliner was a Christmas gift.

Seats reupholstered with stock fabric
New headliner kit (headliner, visors, and sail panels)
New carpet
New upper door panel rails
Used dash pad
Plastics repainted with SEM
Various missing or broken plastics replaced

I am sure 80schild will jump in here but his seats are not Recaro's. They appear to be a later 4th gen T/A or GTA seat. Many say that those seats are the most comfortable ever put in an F Body.

They're the original seats. '87 was the only year that color was available in the GTA.

Re: How Much you paid to re-do your interior????$$

Thank You for correcting me and being nice about it. I thought that that style seat was 4th gen but I stand corrected. I presume then that they are what is referred to as the 3rd gen GTA seats. But they are still generally considered the most comfortable 3rd gen seat.

Real nice looking interior though. Is that carmine red a brighter or a darker red? Pics can be deceiving.

They were standard on the GTA and optional on some TA's (although few TA's had them). They're known as "ultima" seats.

Carmine is darker than red, but lighter than burgundy. More like a deep ruby red I guess.

How did those seat covers fit? I recognize your interior from another website.

Yep, that's it.

She actually put mine on for me, because I live only 45 minutes from her, but they are nice and tight, just like a new car. My foam was even built up a little, so mine may actually be a little firmer than originally.

If everything else on my car went as well as the interior did, I'd be one happy man.
