What interior panels will work with my car
Will any third gen plastics fit my 87 z28? It is a ttop car so obviously a convertable set wouldn't work, but I'm curious of years that are compatable before I buy a set. I searched and couldn't find an answer. I'm looking at a set in the classifieds that would be nice to get my swap to a black interior underway

I'm talking about a complete set of interior plastic panels. I know the rear hatch won't work on mine since its motorized. I want to buy a full set of black to replace my red set

All 3rd gen years interchange, to one degree or another.
About the only differences that you'll find are the A-pillar plastics between hardtop/T-top/Convertible, the obvious differences in the dash gauge arrangements & the Camaro vs Firebird dash pads do not interchange.
You will find differences like the tan colors are different between certain years, but I don't think your looking for tan anyways so it really doesn't apply in this case.
I'm not sure what you mean by the hatches not interchanging, because motorized or not? The hatch (glass) fits identical, just a matter of wing mounting.

Thanks thats what I needed to know, and I meant the rear piece that covers the latch for the rear hatch. I was told that piece would not work in the set I'm looking at since my hatch is motorized.

You could paint your pieces yourself and save couple of bucks

Closest I've ever seen to a manual hatch is a motorized hatch with a dead motor.
You will also find small differences in like the rear fenderwell cover plastic, as far as rear 3-pt seatbelts vs 2-pts.
