Red interiors
Hey guys. The first pick is of my first camaro. It was an 87 i believe, but it was a stolen recovery and there where a ton of differant parts used to put the car back together. I did not do this. My question is did our cars ever come with those seats (sorry for the poor quality shot) Is that the oxblood? If i remember correctly they where leather.
The next picks are of my current camaro that I have finally been putting some love into. any idea what color red that interior is? Flame red?

Re: Red interiors
current camaro again, and the double shot is the OLD Camaro. I am a huge fan of painting the BLACK by the headlights the same color of the car. Whats your guys take?

Re: Red interiors
That's correct, if I owned that car, I would never paint the headlight buckets the same as the body colour.
That's just MY take on things... others will agree, others will disagree, others will say "it's your car, do whatever you want to with it!"
But it's really such a small cosmetic discrepancy that no one in the general public would even notice.... no sweat.
Other than that, you have a very nice colour combo goin' on there.

Re: Red interiors
agreed. all preferance.
Thanks for the compliment. if you notice my first camaro was white with Red int, and my second Camaro is WHITE WITH RED INTERIOR! haha!
I am a big fan of the color combo. With my current Camaro I am trying to get it running right and upgrading the suspension and all BEFORE I get her painted and do the cosmetic stuff.
Any Idea what color Red is in the first pic? And did our cars come with leather seats?

Re: Red interiors
Leather seats were available from 1987-92, although cars with it are VERY difficult to find. Most of the leather cars I've seen are '92's. According to the Camaro White Book, Red leather was available in 1987, and also 1989-92. The color code changed in 1990, so 1990-92 cars might have a different shade of red than 1987 and 1989 models. Leather seems to be the only factory option that the White Book doesn't show production numbers for.
When they're in nice condition, bright red interiors look great, and are actually one of my favorite choices (assuming it's a white, black, red, silver, or gray exterior)...however, when they're NOT in nice condition, they look a lot worse than any other color IMO.
