Re: Trans Am Guage Rings
Thanks Luis,
You may want to up the quantity due to big interest.
Don't think you'd have any trouble selling them if any left over.
A dab of clear silicone would hold them in -- and easy to remove for the enthusiaists. Hot glue, may distort the plastic.
Or some of that sticky glue stuff they use on junk mail that you roll up like a ..... booger

I'm definitely in. Let me know when these are ready (if I made it on the list). I too was thinking of silicone to hold them in. I also want to try and "shave" down some of the plastic lip on my '89 cluster housing to see if they will sit more flush. I have two housings, so I can experiment. If not, no biggie, they still look great.

Re: Trans Am Guage Rings
Got mine in yesterday. Polished them up last night with some Mothers Mag & Aluminum Polish and then used some of 3M's black adhesive to attach them to my bezel. They turned out great! Got some pictures of the process.
This is polished on right and nonpolished on left. Pictures don't show much difference but there was. Don't get me wrong they looked great without polishing but they look even better with alittle bit of elbow grease.
All polished up.
Bezel before gluing them on. Cleaned it up some before hand.
Glue on the rings, ended up having to put a decent amount on to get them to grab. Any adhesive that squeezed out easily came off with a q tip.
Finished mounting.
Another shot.
Adhesive I used.
Finished product after installed. Dont mind my AFR gauge. I am looking for a pod for it.
One more.
These turned out awesome and can't thank you enough for having these done again. Hope the pictures helped with the people that have 85-92 gauges. Thanks again!

Re: Trans Am Guage Rings
I just received my gauge rings today! These are just incredible. Extremely well machined, just a real treat to look at. I just had to set them in there temporarily and snap some photos: (Pay no attention to the unsightly carpet and non-matching floor mats. I'm working on that.lol)
Next, I'll polish them up, then I'm going to work on making them sit flush in the later cluster. Really though, it's not that noticeable so I may not even worry about it. I have an extra cracked bezel that I can "practice" on to see if I can shave the middle section of plastic down on each opening since the whole bezel is slightly curved.
Thanks again Luis, I really like these.

Re: Trans Am Guage Rings
Same here - extremely satisfied !! Way to go Luis !
Got mine today- fit perfect.
Thanks, thinking of white sport gauge overlays ---
Subtle upgrade, but not destructive.
We shall call them the "Hernandez Rings"
