steering wheel Problem :(

When I purchased my car It came with a hideous aftermarket steering wheel.

After having the car for about a month I decided to buy the original steering wheel for it.

I had no problem taking off the aftermarket steering wheel (just a couple bolts) but when I attempted to place the original steering wheel on it, It wouldnt go on because there is a round metal piece in the way. I tried to remove it but couldnt find a way to do so.

Can anyone

Probably the adapter for the aftermarket wheel. If so, gonna need a steering wheel puller to get it off. Then you'll need the stock hub for the stock wheel.

Pep Boys, almost any parts store, Ebay. To put the stock wheel on you'll need the hub, not sure where to get those maybe a junkyard.

Re: steering wheel Problem :(

The stock wheel just slips on the splined shaft that will be there after you take off the adapter for the aftermarket wheel. There is no hub to replace. Slip on wheel, tighten down nut, install lock ring, replace horn pad and you're done. Airbag wheels are a little different but not much.
