Seat foam

Is there a way to rebuild seat foam? My seat covers are mint, but the shape of the seat has changed over the years.

In the past I've used great stuff to fill in some holes and all that. Once it dries you can shape it with a razor.

Re: Seat foam

Great stuff is expanding foam and would not work in a seat. It cures hard and once crushed, stays crushed. You might as well repair the padding with a chunk of wood if you were to go that route.

You can use 1/2 inch thick foam if your seats aren't too bad and after you glue it where you want it, you just shave it down to the shape of the seat. If your seats require thicker foam, you can do the same thing as well.

Re: Seat foam

Wonder if a combo of high density foam and then some memory foam on top would work?

It would work as long as the high density is not too hard because you don't want the firmest foam there is. You need some give to it.

As far as I know, they only carry the Camaro foam cushions. I have not found anybody that sells the GTA foam.
