Interior Carpet Replacement
After tearing out all of the mouse pee/crap infested carpet, I've been looking on line at several different replacement carpets for my 84 T/A. Does anyone have any advice on the best brand/company to go with?
I think I saw a full carpet set on Hawk's which had the option to upgrade to a special rubberized backer instead of the standard foam pading for an additional $140.00. Is this worth it? What should I stay away from if I want to avoid the low end quality stuff?
My guess is that there is only one real manufacturor, but a lot of different vendors selling it.
Thanks!!

I don't know about the backing but the only brand you want is ACC I think that's it.

Most places are selling ACC. The mass back IMO is a good option. It gives the carpet more body and insulation. It does make it a bit heavier and harder to cut. A lot of guys are using Dynamat and skipping the mass back, which is also an option.

I liked the 1A Auto carpet I installed in my Nova. They sent me color samples prior to ordering so I could make sure it matched (red). I don't remember the brand.

Hawk's uses ACC - drop ship. Did the Raamat (dynamat clone), too.

Yes - they are all the same. The worst place to buy it from is directly from ACC. They price it a lot higher.
But they are the best place to get samples from. They have the largest samples and I have gotten 5 at a time from them. Figure out what colors you want samples of and then call them direct. They will send them to you. Then order it from one of their resellers like Hawks or 1A.
