Hello. Does anyone know how I would find out what color floor mats my sons '88 GTA came with? It has grey carpet, so I thought the mats would have been grey, but I'm not 100% sure. I've also see black floor mats on the gray carpet. Any ideas how I can find out what it came with from the factory?

The floor mats are the same color as the carpet, Check the RPO code for that color.

 

Lots of people install the black mats after ruining the factory gray ones...black ones don't show the dirt and stains as well, so they're a popular color choice for every interior regardless of what they originally had.

But yes, if you have factory gray carpet, your car had factory gray floor mats.
