digital dash problem
check out the video. it's like it's illuminating the whole pattern. what's most weird is that it illuminates the up shift indicator...and the car is originally a automatic!
anyone ever encounter this?

Likely a loose connection.....when cold everyhting contracts and when its warm it will expand and make a better connection.

Re: digital dash problem
My guess is that you have a short across the pins because the pattern seems to repeat exactly every time. When you hit 1000 RPM, several bars up to 3400 RPM and the shift indicator light up. I would take the cluster out and take it apart to see what's going on in there. The actual glass screen is connected to it's printed board by pins. Once you get all the bezels out of the way, you can remove the screen by slowly, carefully pulling it straight out (forward). If you don't find any obvious signs of a short, you will probably need a new tach board, which will likely mean a complete used cluster.
