Dashboard (not dash pad) Removal Q

I've already done a lot of searching here on TGO and elsewhere and haven't come up with a definitive answer for this.

I'm trying to remove the entire dashbaord unit from my '82 Pace Car. I've already removed the center console, dash pad, cluster, radio, steering column and all the various screws & bolts attaching the dash to the car. I am able to pull the entire unit forward off of it's mounting points so the unit is entirely freed up.

BUT -- I can't get the entire out of the car because of the wiring harness on the driver side. I assume the harness and fuse panel all stay with the dash itself, but I don't know where to disconnect things and I don't want to take out more than I have to.

For example, does the C100 connector have to come off the firewall? Also, there is a large bundle of wire from the dash that goes to the left side by the cowl and I'm not sure if that all disconnects as one unit of if I have to unplug everything individually.

The '82 shop manual is no help. Section 8C basically say the dash is serviced as a single unit and to look at the nine diagrams for help. There isn't a step-by-step and the manual doesn't go over how to disconnect all of the electrical.

Any pointers would be appreciated.

there is a bunch of 7mm screws along the bottom edge that attaches the fuse panel to the dash and there are the zip tie like clips that hold the wiring to the dash you will also have to get off. sorry i dont have a pic of the area but its where the under panel attaches to. You have to do the realy panel as well

I spent a couple hours today looking at the dash and was able to disconnect everything. C100 did have to come out (two nuts on the engine side) and there were five or six other connectors on the driver side and four or five more for the radio. What drives me nuts are the different way the connectors actually latch. Took the mos time to just stay the connector to figure out how to unlatch them without breaking anything.
