82 - 92 are interchangeable. Some have extra functions like cruise and delayed wipers etc but they all work. Not sure about other GM cars.

Re: steering columns
beware of swapping non tilt to a tilt style column. The ignition rod switch operates in different directions when you turn the key.

Sure; they will all bolt into place,....... but they are NOT all plug and play.

82-83 are specific to only those years because of the Windshield wiper wiring.

84-88 are pretty much all the same. I've found that the dash wiring plugs leading to the ignition box screwed to the column are are sometimes "reversed" ( Manual vs Auto perhaps ?)

89 Coulmn is a 1 year deal,...... No Air bag - Has Vats

90-92 are similar. IIRC the wiper wires need to be re-pinned in the plug to properly match an 84-89 dash harness.

** A 84-86 Berlinetta Column will not work in any other car.
** Some GTA and Trans Am columns include Steering Wheel Controlled Radio wiring.
