Seat Bracket & Seat Upgrade?
Hello Third Gens,
I have a 1990 IROC. The drivers side seat bracket has cracked where the two rivets/posts were originally welded.
I have decided to get rid of the original broken bracket and power seat and replace it with a new aftermarket bracket and upgraded manual seat.
I was thinking of a Corbeau bracket and seat? I will be using the car as a daily driver so I don't need anything really sporty. I would like to know what other Third Gen members are using. Does anyone have any brand suggestions and model numbers? I would really like to see some pics. Trying to be around $350
Thanks!

Re: Seat Bracket & Seat Upgrade?
Most of us on here go with used 4th gen seats just because they require no modifications to swap in, look stock to someone who doesn't know our cars that well, and are generally very inexpensive. The pull-a-part near me charges around $30/seat, so you can't beat them for the price.

yeah .. stay away from corbeau ... while the bolt in bracket does just that ... just don't expect to sit in it ... I'm only 5-10 and my head was 4 inches ABOVE the roof with it bolted in ... with the seat fitting flat on the floor i.e. NO BOLT IN BRACKET .. we still can't pass tech with a helmet on ... we bought from 2kracing.com .. they have been great ... CORBEAU .. it's safe to say ... SUCKS !!!!!!!

I used these with Fiero sliders which are very low profile.

Re: Seat Bracket & Seat Upgrade?
the corbeau's do side and/or bottom ... our current setup uses the sides ... the bottoms are scrapping the floor right now .. so there's no way to even get a bolt in them ... pulling all the padding up gets us legal for tech ... but it ain't gonna be a soft ride ....
