87 -91 dash assembly Bird

87 -91 dash assembly Bird

Are 87 and 91 Dash assembly and consoles the same?
Pics anyone? Need to see the difference plz.

Only difference w/consoles is that 91 automatics will have a shift indicator that moves with the shifter.

In 1991 they changed the location of the switches for the fog lamps, rear defrost, and rear hatch release. Also no subwoofer available in 91, whereas 87s would have a Gain slider next to the other switches if they had this option. 87s had the switch panel on the lower left driver's side dash trim, whereas 91s would have it just above the a/c controls.

Yeah, wasn't sure about that...wasn't able to find any 1990 photos to confirm, and have still yet to see one in person (stupid IROC licensing problems/short model year = VHTF).
