Gauge cluster questions

so im stuck on gauges right now, i want to keep stock gauges but the transmission im doing is mechanical where as the speedometer is electric.

should i get an adapter or switch to an earlier set with mechanical? i dont really want to use an after market gauge.

would there be any difference between the older style gauges then my 86 or am i just able to plug it right in?

ps i dont care on opinions about what im doing just please give me the info i want to know

Re: Gauge cluster questions

Swap the cable drive for a VSS on the transmission.
