Window motor replacement & waterproof with nail polish?

So,

I ripped the doors apart on my 91 GTA to replace the window motors. I hated doing it, but I drilled holes in the door to get the old motors out. I installed new window motors. Put the right door back together. Now, I need to reassemble the left door.

Questions:

1.) Do you know where I can buy a new vapor barrier? The old ones got torn up during the uninstall. On the left side I taped them back together with clear scotch packing tape and liberally used scotch packing tape to affix them to the inside of the door taped them to the door (since the glue wasn't all that tacky). Do you think this will hold? If I cant find a new one, I plan on taping the vapor barrier for the right side back together, but using blu-tack to affix it to the door.

2.) When I drilled out the holes on the right side, I did not have paint available to waterproof the areas I drilled (and to paint over some surface rust starting to form). So, I used clear coat nail polish. Do you think the nail polish will last? Does it form a good waterproof barrier? I know its pricey, but I've been using caliper paint lately, and I love the way it dries. I'll be using that on the right side. (I already hit some areas on the right side with nail polish, but I'll paint over that, I hope it holds.)

So, bottom line... does anyone know where I can get vapor barriers? Are nail polish and scotch tape good enough for my right door, or do I need to tear it apart? I really dont want to pull it apart again because of the wear and tear it will cause on the interior panel. But, I will if I have to.

Thanks!
Bill

Go to any hardware store and you can buy it by the roll.

Paint would have been better than nail polish.

Should I take apart the passenger side door and repaint? Can I paint over the nailpolish, or should I remove it and then paint? If I remove the nailpolish, should I use acetone? Im worried about stripping off the car's body paint.
