How do you attach a hard top visor in a t top car?
How do you attach a hard top visor in a t top car?
I pulled the visors off a t top car, found out they were the hard top kind later, and now I cant figure out how to put them on my t top car.. I didnt take the screws from the other car, like I usually do.. of course the one time I didnt, I really need them.. haha.. The screw holes on the mount are too skinny for the screws Im using now.. Also two of the screw holes have some plastic behind them.. So Im thinking two longer skinnier screws and a shorter one. Hopefully they will still thread. I dont want to drill the holes on the mount, because they were somehow attached to the other t top car. They were also both the same year car too.
Who else has put hard top visors on a t top car? How did you do it?
Thru search, I found various opinions. A lot of people saying its not possible, but I saw some people like me who have seen it done. Also I saw people saying to just unscrew the mount from the visor. Well both of mine must have gotten reupholstered or something, because the screw isnt visible on either. I rather not rip them apart. Plus my new visors are a different color.

Couldnt I put some Cadillac visors I got at the junkyard on the mounts? The only problem is the Cadillac screw must be upholstered over too.. It was definitely stock.. It was from a Seville

If you're swapping because the OE's were flopping around, there's a fix for that.
